As a dermatologist, I go through the lifestyle of the person, do a checkup of the scalp, certain skin tests to assess what is causing the scalp issues, and then start them on a course of anti-dandruff treatment. Our patient is put on an intense treatment to control dandruff initially, followed by a maintenance schedule to keep the dandruff issue at bay.
